Ibben (Kipper’s PC)

Ibben was born as ‘Ib’, a fairly normal if unusually empathetic and curious child. Unfortunately his curiosity led him to an Ancient nuclear weapon silo, where a meeting of the Brotherhood of Radiation was taking place. Ib was captured and forcibly made to experience the Everlasting Glow. Thus ‘Ben’, the second half of Ibben was born, and Ibben became a convert to the Brotherhood; unwillingly at first but with growing fervour as his mental abilities were further awakened.

Ibben has become a very well-known member of the Brotherhood in his travels as a passionate and persuasive believer in the Everlasting Glow, and has gained many converts to the cause. However, as Ibben has traveled over the years he has slowly become more interested in exploring the secrets of the Ancients than gaining converts to the Brotherhood, and thus quickly volunteered for the Expedition.

Special Abilities

Ibben’s ‘Common’ Mutations:

  • Dual Cerebellum: Two fully-functional brains. Gets two saves against mental attacks and +10% to technology rolls.
  • Increased Willpower: Gains 4 points to WIL and +10% to technology rolls.

Ib’s Mutations:

  • Control Light Waves: The character can control light, creating a number of effects: becoming invisible, generating darkness (10′ radius, 30′ range), or dissipating laser fire (30′ range). Requires concentration.
  • Neural Telepathy: Can connect with another creature’s mind and communicate directly to a range of 30′.

Ben’s Mutations:

  • Combat Empathy: Attuned to the minute body language of others. +1 to hit in combat, +3 damage per die rolled in a successful attack.
  • Echolocation: Can use natural sonar to ‘see’ surroundings to a range of 90′. +2 to hit in combat.

    Heehee, Ibben has Echolocation so likely won’t need to use the light rods to see… but they could come in handy in other ways :D. I like the “Ancient Metal” holy symbol, matches the character pic :D!
